They can quickly adjust their output to respond to sudden changes in load, meeting the growing demand for electricity.

As of the end of 2023, China's installed capacity of coal power is approximately 1.17 billion kilowatts, accounting for 40% of the country's total installed power capacity. Coal used for power generation accounts for about 60% of the total coal consumption in the country, and carbon emissions from coal power account for approximately 40% of the national total.
